Notts County boss Ian McParland has enlisted the help of Tommy Johnson to supplement his backroom team on a temporary basis.

McParland feels that he and Dave Kevan need "an extra pair of hands" to share the workload following the departure of Paul Beesley, as well as Steve Thompson and John Gannon.
He explained: "Tommy rang to congratulate me as soon as I was appointed and said that if there was anything he could do to help out, I only had to say.
"All sorts of jobs need doing around a football club which are nothing to do with kicking a ball, and Tommy has agreed to work with Dave and me while we get ourselves sorted. At the moment it's a temporary arrangement but you never know what the future might bring."
Johnson secured his place in Notts' history when he scored one goal and made the other in the 2-0 Play-Off win over Tranmere in their first-ever Wembley appearance in 1990.
Twelve months later he scored twice in the Play-off triumph over Brighton and took his goals tally to 53 in 132 senior appearances before joining Derby County for £1.3million in January 1992.
Johnson also went on to serve the likes of Aston Villa, Celtic and Everton and since retiring as a player he has been working for a charity on a voluntary basis.
He said: "I've been out of the game for 18 months and had no real thoughts of getting involved again but then this opportunity cropped up.
"I'm really good mates with Ian McParland and Dave Kevan and I told them that anything I can do to help, I will.
"It's a chance to go back where I started my career and whatever they want me to do, they know they will get 100 per cent commitment. I'm not sure where it will lead but the only thing that matters at the moment is to get Notts County moving forward again."
