The Notts County squad are on a 'mini pre-season trip' this week, with the Magpies squad off to a Health Resort in Leicestershire ahead of the big kick-off at Grimsby on Saturday.

The Notts squad visited the same resort last summer and Manager Steve Thompson and his team were particularly impressed with the Resort and the facilities available to the players, so a follow-up visit was booked earlier in the summer for this week.

With football pitches on site Notts will take in two training sessions on Monday and Tuesday, staying over on Monday night at the Hotel on-site, before heading back home on Tuesday afternoon.

The players can have massages and various other treatments at the resort, while other features include therapy pools and games rooms.

Notts of course had a five-day pre-season tour to Cornwall earlier in the summer to help integrate the new players into the squad, and Thompson is hoping this mini-trip ahead of the new season could bring the squad closer together ahead of the season's curtain-raiser at Grimsby this weekend.
