Goal Man: Andy Parkinson Made It 1-1 Before The Break
It's half-time at Moss Rose in the final game of the season with the Magpies at Macclesfield Town, and it's been an entertaining encounter so far with the scoreline 1-1.
The home side were quick out of the traps and had a chance on four minutes to take the lead through Danny Swailes, but he headed wide.
The Silkmen however didn't need long to wait for another chance, and this time they took it as John Miles kept his cool in the box to slot calmly past Pilkington.
Bullock and McNeil both had opportunities for the home side saved by Pilkington in the Notts goal, while Parkinson and Somner have been narrowly off target with efforts.
Somner is on for Michael Byron who went off injured ten minutes into the game. We will find out the full extent of the injury from Steve Thompson after the match in his post-match press call.
As the half has worn on Notts have certainly looked more dangerous going forwards with the early Silkmen pressure, and with a few minutes to go until the break Andy Parkinson latched onto a ball over the top and clear on goal, and he kept his head to slide the ball past the Macclesfield goalkeeper Lee who got a touch to the ball, but Parkinson followed the effort up and tapped into an empty net.
The goal had Notts' tails up and Parkinson got away down the right to slide a ball across the box with Dudfield steaming in, but Regan cleared just in time for the home side for a corner which Lee headed over the bar.
With Boston at the time of writing 1-0 up at Boston it is sure to be a nervy final half at Moss Rose with the relegation issue far from decided for the Silkmen, while Notts will be keen to end the season in the top half and they require three points to do that.
