Notts County target Matt Hamshaw will decide his future over the weekend.
The 26-year-old midfielder has held talks with Notts County boss Ian McParland this week.
And he has also spoken to two other clubs, following his release from relegated Mansfield Town at the end of last season - with League Two clubs Rotherham United and Lincoln City heavily linked with a move for him.
Hamshaw says he will take his time to make the best decision for his career, and his family - and insists it will not be about money.
He said: "I went to Notts and spoke to them the other day, and I've come away and have to decide what the best option is for me and my family now.
"I have got a couple of other offers, so I don't want to rush into any decision I might regret.
"I would like to think everybody understands that because it is a big decision for me.
"I have rushed into decisions in the past in my career and I don't want to do it again.
"It's not about holding out for the most money. It's about making the best footballing choice for my career."
Hamshaw was pleased with how the talks with McParland went, and believes the Magpies are capable of soaring up the Football League ladder.
"It is a massive club and from what I have seen, the manager is going to be positive," he added.
"The signing of Jamie Forrester is a big plus. It is a club with good players, a good ground and good supporters. I believe it could go up through the leagues.
"I have also got a lot of respect for the manager, the assistant and I know Tommy Johnson well.
"I will take the weekend to decide. As soon as I know, Notts County will know."
