Marcus returned to Meadow Lane as Fitness Coach in July 2009, nine months after leaving for Rochdale.

He had previously spent three months with County in the summer of 2008, where he was in charge of the fitness and conditioning of the squad.

He left to join Rochdale in October, 2008 as their Sports Scientist, taking up the role which was previously occupied by his close friend Paul Conway.

But, things didn't work out as planned for him at Spotland and after the departure of his replacement, Henry Cleminson, former County boss Ian McParland  moved quickly to bring the popular Swede back to Meadow Lane.

He has also worked for Preston North End and Derby County.
