Bio:
Carl joined the backroom team as Goalkeeping Coach at Meadow Lane in July, 2008, following his retirement from professional football.

The former Leicester, Stoke, Chesterfield and Celtic stopper made over 600 career appearances as a player and had enjoyed a long and distinguished career in professional football.

His first taste of a coaching role came with his final club, Mansfield Town, where he took of the position of Player-Assistant Manager.

His last clean sheet, ironically, was recorded in the Stags' goalless draw at Meadow Lane in March, 2008.

Following the arrival of Martin Allen in April, 2011, he was made Assistant Manager.
