Mick returned to England following a spell working with youngsters in Dubai and took charge the newly-reformed Centre of Excellence at Notts County in June, 2008.

He made 254 appearances in County colours as a player between 1979 and 1989, and also enjoyed spells with Chesterfield and Halifax Town before moving on to Hong Kong and China.

Once his playing days came to an end, the former stopper took up a role as a Goalkeeping Coach in Hong Kong but returned to England in 2001 to work in the Academy at Nottingham Forest.

In 2003 he took up the position as the New Zealand's national Goalkeeping Coach, before taking up a role in The Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence in Dubai.
