Dave Kevan
David Kevan was brought to Meadow Lane in October 2007 as assistant manager by former manager Ian McParland.
The former Magpies midfielder had been Steve Cotterill's assistant for the previous six years at Stoke City and then Burnley, and it was a tremendous coup to persuade him to drop down to League Two.
Kevan joined County from school in1984 and made his league debut as an apprentice. He went on to make 99 league and cup appearances for the club - and attained Scotland Under-21 recognition - before moving to Stoke for £75,000.
When injury forced his premature retirement, he immediately turned to coaching and worked his way through the ranks at Stoke, before becoming assistant-manager at Burnley.
Since his link-up with the Magpies McParland has departed, but Kevan has continued his duties. He is currently caretaker manager at the club, following the departure of Hans Backe.
