A globetrotting football aficionado paid Meadow Lane a visit this week to check out The World's Oldest Football League Club.

Brazilian Frederico Jota, who is an enthusiastic football blogger, was in the country visiting a number of stadiums, as well as adding to his mass collection of shirts in the process.

Frederico has hundreds of jerseys in his collection and made the new Notts County home top his latest addition.

He also met First Team Manager Martin Allen, who allowed him to take a look around the home dressing room.

"I love football as a Brazilian and I write for a magazine and have a part in a weekly television show," said Frederico.

"We talk about history of football and I decided to visit Nottingham because of Notts County - the oldest team in the world.

"I am a collector of shirts; we have an association that organises regular meetings to show the shirts.

"I now have over 900 shirts and I'm glad to be able to get a Notts County shirt now.

"It's very nice and I love English game and the way that it's treated, and it's great to see the Notts County stadium - UK style and very nice."
