For today's match fans will be flocking to Meadow Lane from far and wide to witness the Magpies being presented with the League Two title.

One group in attendance today will be the Northern Ireland Notts County Supporters Club.

Since they started following the club over two years ago, the idea has snowballed and membership has swelled to over 60 people.

This season representatives of the group have attended the Torquay and Hereford games, where they met the players and life president Sven-Goran Eriksson.

"We can't wait to come over for the final home match of the season," said general secretary Mervyn Ewing.

"We're all very excited, the atmosphere is guaranteed to be electric.

"I've been to various different Premiership grounds, but I have to say the way we were all treated in the hospitality areas of Meadow Lane was fantastic."

"The standard at Notts is very good, especially with the likes of Davies, Hughesy and Kasper playing.

"I would have thought the majority of the team could play in the leagues above."

Iris Smith, Supporters Club chairperson, explained how the group was formed.

She said: "The group meet up for a drink regularly and were discussing football and decided to set up their own supporters club.

"They couldn't decide to pick a Premiership club or not but Notts was an obvious choice given the history.

"They emailed me and I responded immediately and positively offer help to set up the club and anything else they may need.

"We were presented with a specially made plaque, too."

Congratulations to two of the Irish Supporters Club members, Andy Wharmby and Jane Johnston, who will be getting married on May 22.

Andy will be celebrating his Stag weekend, starting out at Meadow Lane today.
