This week's trip down memory lane goes back to Wednesday, August 25, 2004, and a fantastic performance in the Carling Cup.

We made the trip north to Bradford, who were then in Coca Cola League One - one division above us.

The game started dramatically when David Pipe upended Ben Muirhead inside the area, allowing Dean Windass to fire past Saul Deeney from 12 yards.

Bradford might have been expected to build on their early goal but that wasn't to be the case, as we put on arguably our finest showing under Gary Mills.

We simply took the game by the horns and Bradford were left hanging on, with Tony Scully bringing out the best in the home stopper, Paul Henderson, and Matty Williams rattling the woodwork.

A deserved equaliser finally came from Ian Richardson, who unleashed a ferocious volley following a poor clearance from Steve Schumacher.

More heroics from Henderson were required to send the game into extra time but he could do nothing to stop Rob Ullathorne's thunderbolt strike in the additional minutes.

From 35 yards out, the defender nearly tore a hole in the net before the stopper could even blink - a goal worthy of winning any game.

We're flying at the minute and, like at Crewe, I have a feeling that we might nick another three points tonight. Come on you Pies!
