Notts County FC have signed Josh Vela on an initial 28-day youth loan from Bolton Wanderers.
Vela will be available for selection in this weekend’s crucial Sky Bet League 1 encounter with Carlisle United at Meadow Lane.
The 20-year-old is a product of the Wanderers Academy and has Premier League experience, having made three substitute appearances during his parent club’s stint in the top flight.
Since making his senior bow in April 2012, Vela has played a total of 12 games for Bolton and his switch to Meadow Lane marks his first loan move.
Considered a ‘promising prospect’ by the Championship outfit, the central midfielder will be eager to live up to expectations in the Black and White stripes, as the team strives to climb out of the bottom four.
