Halsall: There Is A Lot Of Hard Work Ahead

8 December 2014

The Notts Youth Team lost 3-1 to Doncaster Rovers last weekend...

Striker Colby Bishop was amongst the goals again after turning the ball in at the near post from a cross from Luther Wildin to equalise in the first half, but defensive errors cost the Magpies.

The result came on the back of two wins last week and had moved Notts towards the top half of the table.

Head of Academy Coaching Mick Halsall told the Official Site: "It was disappointing, especially after the two decent results previously.

"We went a goal down early and the defensive errors cost us, but we responded well and got an equaliser.

"The second half could have gone either way. I thought we started much brighter and at one stage it looked like their was only one team going to go on and win it.

"They looked dangerous on the counter, but another mistake allowed a second goal, but we never really took the initiative to get us back into the game.

"There is a lot of hard work ahead.

"We have no game this coming Saturday, so we have the Burton match to finish off the year. We will be going there looking to finish 2014 in the right manner as it would have been nice to continue this great run going.

"We will take it on and hopefully finish on a high after a disappointing performance."
