The best part is that the scheme allows the club to give pupils at surrounding schools an opportunity to purchase cut-priced tickets - available at only £5 for adults and £1 for children – and gives them a great opportunity to watch live football with their family and friends at an affordable rate.
50 per cent of the money raised by School of the Week is given back to the schools to help fund new equipment and improve the learning experience.
Steve Behrend, deputy headmaster at Wilford Primary School in Nottingham, was full of priase for the initiative.
He said: "This is a brilliant scheme and just one of a number of opportunities at Notts County that our school has taken up this season.
"For some children it is the first ever live match they have seen and it certainly gives the children an exciting day.
"As a result of this scheme, we now have an ongoing relationship with Notts County, which has involved other discounted opportunities and planned visits from the club to the school."
