Notts County have announced their retained list for the 2016/17 season, releasing 11 players.
A new contract has been offered to Wes Atkinson, who made 18 appearances for the Magpies during the 2015/16 season. Defender Haydn Hollis has also been offered a new deal.
Alan Smith has been offered a player/coach contract and will become more involved in the first team backroom setup at Meadow Lane.
An option has been taken up by the club to extend the contract of academy graduate Jordan Richards, who has so far scored two goals in 12 appearances on loan at League of Ireland Premier Division club, Sligo Rovers.
First team coaching staff Mike Edwards and Kevin Pilkington will retain their playing registration for the 2016/17 season.
Andrew Boyce returns to parent club Scunthorpe United as his loan with County has expired.
The eleven players released by the Magpies include Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Roy Carroll, midfielder Liam Noble and defender Blair Adams.
Ronan Murray and Filip Valencic have also been released, but the door will be left open for the pair with an opportunity to earn a contract once a new manager has been appointed. Progress has been made in this area and it is envisaged an appointment will be made by the end of the month.
Others released are Jordan Aghatise, Jason Banton, Colby Bishop, Will Hayhurst, Taylor McKenzie and Lartey Sarpong.
Fifteen first-team players remain under contract for the 2016/17 season.
The club has also offered professional contracts to Montel Gibson, Jack McMillan and Luther Wildin, with six apprentices being released.
Magpies Chief Executive Jason Turner spoke of the players being released by the club.
He said: “On behalf of Notts County, I’d like to thank the players who are leaving Meadow Lane for their efforts during a difficult season.
“We wish them every success in their future career.”
