Notts County have added a further fixture to our pre-season schedule, with a trip to local side Arnold Town due to take place on Wednesday 9 July, with a 7:30pm kick-off.
The game at Arnold Town’s Eagle Valley will be the first pre-season fixture for Shaun Derry’s side and the manager was pleased to be playing another local side as his team prepare for the 2014.15 season.
“I think it’s great that we’ve got so many good local teams in and around Nottingham that we can play against in pre-season.
“It was only a couple of weeks ago that I was playing at Eagle Valley myself in a charity match and it’s a great set-up there so I’m looking forward to taking the lads along for our first pre-season game, which I’m sure the fans will be looking forward to as well.”
Arnold Town Chairman Paul Cottee was also delighted to have confirmed the pre-season fixture, adding: “We are over the moon to be hosting a game with Notts County and can not wait to welcome Shaun and Greg to Eagle Valley.
“This just adds to all the positivity that is being created at Arnold Town FC since our future survival was secured last November.”
