Notts County will face a home tie against Accrington Stanley in the first round of this season’s FA Cup, after the draw was made at St George’s Park on Monday evening.
Having been eliminated in the opening round of the competition last season, in what was his first game in charge of Notts County, Manager Shaun Derry will be hoping for a longer run in the FA Cup this year.
However, he will be taking nothing for granted against Sky Bet League 2 side Accrington when they visit Meadow Lane later this month.
The match is due to take place during the weekend of Saturday 8 November and the confirmed date, kick-off time and ticket arrangements will be announced on the club’s official website as soon as they have been finalised.
