Halsall: Looking To End The Year On A High

19 December 2014

Mick Halsall is looking for another three points on Saturday…

The club's Head of Academy Coaching's side face Burton Albion at the weekend in their final game of 2014 with a 11am kick-off at Arnold Town.

The Youth Team currently sit third in the division and Halsall is hoping they can gain another victory to end the year on a high.

He told the Official Site: "We started the season against them and we are finishing the first half of the campaign against them and it's a big game.

"It will be interesting to see how we compare from the opening day.

"I would describe the season has been very fragmented so far and it's been difficult to get a run of games together, but we are doing okay.

"In 2015 we will be looking for a better consistency and I'm sure all managers and coaches will be asking for the same and have that ambition.

"That would give us a good indicator that the work on the training ground and organisation is working from there, into the games.

"We've played well at times, but there's not been one full 90-minutes where you can look back and say that we dominated and performed all the way through.

"We are looking for that high standard of performances.

"I'm sure Saturday will be a test and I know they have changed a lot since that game back in August. They have new personnel, so I'm expecting them another difficult game.

"We might have a few more Under 16s involved, despite having a fully fit squad other than Jack McMillan who has sickness."
