Laing: We Will Go Into It Believing We Can Win

12 December 2014

Defender Louis Laing will play his last game in his current loan spell this weekend…

The Nottingham Forest loan player started in Tuesday's JPT triumph over Doncaster Rovers after recovering from a thigh injury and is fully fit to face Swindon Town.

Laing admitted that he would love to return to Meadow Lane in the new year.

He told Magpie Player: "I'm fully fit and raring to go.

"I thought it was a dead leg initially, but the scans showed that there was more to it and being a footballer there is nothing worse than being injured.

"All I wanted to do was play, but I'm happy to be back in.

"Saturday is a big game for us, but my loan ends on Saturday and I'm going to miss a good run of games, but hopefully in the future I might be able to come back.

"I will need to sit down with both manager's and see what the future holds. I will see what happens.

"It's a great club, with a great manager and the fans and players have been fantastic. I'd love to come back, but it's not in my hands.

"I'm expecting a tough test on Saturday, but we will go into it believing we can win. There's a great team spirit here."
