Zeli Ismail reflected on his match-winning penalty against Scunthorpe United...
Zeli Ismail said that he will always back himself to score a penalty, after ignoring the opposition’s distraction tactics to score the match-winning spot-kick in the Sky Bet League 1 victory over Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
The on-loan Wolverhampton Wanderers winger said after the match: “I knew the lad from Burton last year so I knew that he was going to come over and say something but I just had to be professional and keep calm and pick my spot well.
“From the first penalty that I took, when I stepped forward, it went in quite well for me, so you don’t stop taking them until you miss.
“I definitely don’t think I’m going to miss when I’m taking a penalty, I’ll pick my spot really well and go for it.
“That was last minute, so I had to put my foot through it and go straight down the middle.”
