Fun for all the family at Mike Edwards' Legends Community Match

23 May 2016

The Legends Community Match between Notts Legends and a Forest Former XI took place yesterday at Meadow Lane, with plenty of stalls and attractions for all the family.

The sun was shining, and a healthy crowd of around 800 witnessed a compelling game between the former pros.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce opened the scoring for Notts just before half-time, a fantastic jinking run and finish putting the Magpies 1-0 up. However, a (slightly more) youthful Forest side emerged in the second half and ran out 3-1 winners.

As well as the game, there were stalls, inflatables and attractions in the Derek Pavis Stand car park before the game ensuring there was fun for all the family, kindly run and funded by the Nottingham Rotary club.

A percentage of money raised went to nominated charity partner Football In The Community.

Mike Edwards', all at Notts County FC and FITC would like to thank everyone who attended and lent their support to this special event.
