Manager Shaun Derry has added quality to the Notts County midfield with the signing of Elliott Whitehouse.
Whitehouse has been with the Magpies squad since the beginning of pre-season after leaving Sheffield United.
The 20-year-old, who spent last season out on loan with York City and Alfreton Town, has impressed on trial during County’s preparations for the 2014.15 campaign.
Having made an impression with his determined performances and three goals, the management team have rewarded Whitehouse with a one-year contract at Meadow Lane.
The midfielder will wear the number 26 shirt for Notts and is in contention for the Sky Bet League 1 season opener with Preston North End at Deepdale.
