Dumbuya Drawn By Manager’s Enthusiasm

4 July 2013

New recruit Mustapha Dumbuya says he was drawn to Notts County Football Club by first team manager Chris Kiwomya’s passion for the game.

Dumbuya penned a deal at Meadow Lane earlier this week, much to the delight of the County faithful, who had witnessed his energetic displays in both a Portsmouth and Crawley Town jersey last term.

The pacy right-back was impressed by Kiwomya’s eagerness to play football the right way and he hopes to make a big impact in the black and white stripes this coming campaign.

He told Magpie Player: “It was his enthusiasm and what he wants to do here that made me want to sign,” said the energetic full-back.

“He’s building a young side that wants to play football and that’s what I’m all about.

“That’s what convinced me to come here, I’ve already seen they’re a good passing team and that’s what I want to be involved in.

“I’m very happy to be here and it’s nice to settle somewhere now.”

Dumbuya took part in his first training session this morning and is likely to feature for the first time in a County shirt against Palloseura Kemi Kings. Look out for post-match coverage exclusively on Magpie Player.
