Drissa Traore Becomes Notts County's Second Deadline Day Signing

2 September 2014

Notts County can confirm that the club completed a second deadline day deal, with the signing of French midfielder Drissa Traore.

The 22-year-old has been training with Notts over the past couple of weeks and has now completed a move from French side Le Havre.

Notts CEO Jim Rodwell said of the deal: “We’re delighted to have got this one over the line on transfer deadline day and I would like to thank our admin staff, Tony Cuthbert and Kate Lovett who stayed late on Monday night to get the paperwork finalised.

“It’s sometime easy to forget the hard work that has to go in behind the scenes to get deals done at anytime, but particularly on transfer deadline day, so I am grateful to everyone involved in finalising this deal and I’m looking forward to seeing Drissa in action.”

Traore will not be available for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match against Mansfield Town on Tuesday evening but will be available for selection when Notts return to action away to Peterborough United in Sky Bet League 1 on Saturday 13 September.

Traore's signing follows that of defender Jordan Cranston earlier on Monday.
