Irishman eager to improve upon last season...

Alan Judge says that he is aiming for progression this season, both as a team and as an individual.

Judge featured in 48 competitive fixtures for the Magpies in 2011.12, scoring eight goals and adding 15 assists.

This helped Notts to a seventh placed finish, only missing out on the League 1 Play-Offs to Stevenage on goal difference.

Following the summer break, last season’s Player of the Year is determined to gain promotion to the Championship and improve upon his impressive stats.

“It was a nice relaxing break and I think I needed it after last season,” Judge told Magpie Player.

“It was my first full season in quite a while, I only played 17 games the season before so I was quite knackered towards the end of the season.

“I’m looking for more this year and the gaffer’s said he’s going to make sure that I’m fitter than I’ve ever been, so that’s a good thing that will pay off during the season.

“You don’t want to sit where you finished and the gaffer’s very ambitious and determined.

“Everyone seems to be buying into that so everyone’s going for it – we’re definitely going for it this year.”
