Club Appoints Julian Winter As New CEO

6 October 2015

Notts County Football Club are delighted to announce the arrival of Julian Winter as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Coming to Meadow Lane with a wealth of experience in football administration, Julian takes over the role from Aileen Trew, who resigned as Notts County CEO on August 28th, 2015.

A defender during his playing career, Julian made more than 100 appearances as a player for Huddersfield Town before injury cut his career short at just 27.

Wanting to move upstairs at the end of his playing days, Julian graduated in Leisure and Recreation Management at Sheffield Hallam University before working for Grimsby Town.

He has previous experience of being the CEO of a football club from his time at Watford before two spells in the same role at Sheffield United.

Speaking to the official site, Julian said: “I have a broad experience within football and within the Football League that I will be looking to bring to Meadow Lane.

“Notts County is an impressive club, which is steeped in history and tradition, and everyone here is pulling towards the same target – promotion to League One.

“I am looking forward to working with the staff that we have here and to a successful season both on and off the pitch.”

Notts County chairman Ray Trew added: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Julian to Notts County Football Club.

“The work Julian has done at the previous football clubs he has been at has been very impressive and everyone at the football club is delighted to have Julian on board.”

Magpie PlayerHD will have the first interview with Julian since his appointment in due course.
