Carroll: Loving Every Minute At Notts

12 September 2014

Northern Ireland goalkeeper Roy Carroll returned back to training after a successful week away with his country…

The shot-stopper helped Ireland to their first victory away from home in more than four years.

The vital points has given them a fantastic start to the qualifying campaign for Euro 2016 in France.

The keeper spoke to Magpie Player and said: "It's been a long and successful week with Ireland, first the training sessions down in London and then our first away win in four years.

"We've got a double header coming up and we are all looking forward to them. It's given us a good chance to progress and reach a major tournament, it's been a long time since that's happened, but we believe in ourselves.

"I'm enjoying my football here at Notts. We are all working hard at the training ground and I'm loving every minute of it.

"The fans have really got behind me and it's great to be back in England after my move to Greece.

"We've had a tough start to the season, but we will go to Peterborough and give 100%. We were all disappointed after the Fleetwood game, but all the players pull their socks up and we will go out there and give our all."
