Biggest Game Of Our Lives

13 March 2014

Manager Shaun Derry has classed Notts County’s Sky Bet League 1 clash with Tranmere Rovers as the players’ ‘biggest game of their lives’.

Notts are currently preparing for a run of four consecutive fixtures against sides in and around the bottom four.

County must must make up serious ground on the sides outside the relegation zone in the remaining 10 games if they are to remain in the division.

A six-pointer with 21st placed Tranmere kick-starts the crucial run-in and three points are seen as a must at Prenton Park.

“It’s the biggest game of their lives and it’s the biggest game of our lives of Notts County people,” said Derry.

“Nobody felt sorry for us out there so the players can’t feel sorry for themselves.

“I’m not feeling sorry for the players, I’m expecting a performance more than anything.

“I’ve always said that when the performance comes the results will follow.

“I’m demanding at the very least a reaction and I’m demanding a performance and I’ve got to demand points on Saturday.

“It’s got to that stage now where it’s all or nothing, it really is.”
