Notts County have appointed Jon Goodman as their new academy manager.
The former Millwall, Wimbledon and Republic of Ireland forward arrives at Meadow Lane after leaving the same role at the Nike Academy, where he spent three years leading the development of some of the world's best unsigned talent.
Goodman previously worked as head of sports science at Leeds United and Reading, while he also ran a consultancy business which included Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton among its clients.
He said: "I am really excited to begin working at Notts County as academy manager.
"While working with Nike I took a keen interest in the club as I have known a number of the staff over the years. It's also been brilliant to see the impact made by one of our former players, Jorge Grant, this season.
"I have been impressed by the vision, ambition and passion of the chairman, both for the club and the academy, and I look forward to delivering a successful programme that represents our core values of integrity, hard work, competition, positivity and responsibility."
Notts chairman and owner Alan Hardy added: "I'm absolutely delighted to welcome Jon to the club.
"He has a brilliant record not only as academy manager at Nike, where he helped more than 30 young players realise their dream of becoming a professional footballer, but also as a senior coach.
"Jon typifies the forward-thinking attitude I'm hoping to instil in all areas of the club and I thoroughly look forward to working with him."
Notts have also appointed Simon Clark to the role of lead professional development phase coach.
Clark is no stranger to Notts' academy having previously worked with the Magpies' under 12s and 16s groups.
Formerly club captain at Colchester, he leaves his role as first-team coach at Sky Bet League One side Charlton Athletic to work in the new-look academy set-up at Meadow Lane.
Clark said: "In my coaching career so far I have had the pleasure of working very closely with and developing some of today's best British talent, some of whom have gone on to represent England and subsequently play in the Premier League.
"I fully intend to develop the players here at Notts County in the same way and I am very excited at the prospect of helping Jon drive the academy forward at this great club."
