Lifeline quiz success!

10 March 2017

Notts County's 2017 Lifeline quiz was a major success, with more than 200 Notts supporters and staff enjoying a brilliant night at Meadow Lane.

Chairman Alan Hardy and manager Kevin Nolan were both in attendance, both taking questions from Colin Slater and the audience. Click here to hear what Nolan had to say.

The gaffer led his team, comprising Richard Thomas, Alan Smith, Mike Edwards and Mark Crossley, to a stunning victory in the 36-team quiz, pipping Exceedingly Good Pies to the title by a solitary point.

The infamous booby prize went to the Nolan Sisters (Plus One), who came last with a meagre 44 points!

Nolan very kindly asked for the winners' prize, an executive box for a match, to be auctioned on the evening. £220 was raised for Lifeline as a result.

The club would like to express their sincere gratitude to event sponsor Adrian Rawden of On-Call Recruitment, as well as Julie Henshaw of Chambers Butchers, Arnold, for providing the pies.

A fresh new look for Lifeline

An increased jackpot up for grabs at Saturday’s match against Hartlepool United!

Members will now be in with a chance of winning £2,500 every home matchday and there will be 29 other weekly draws for £1,000.

Existing members and those who join before 30 April will be entered into a jackpot draw for £10,000 while enjoying a host of other exclusive benefits.

Notts County chairman and owner Alan Hardy said: “It’s been absolutely fascinating to learn more about this amazing membership, which was so important in securing the survival of the club back in 1986.

“We have made some alterations to the prizes, with more cash riding on the draws here at Meadow Lane, and I would urge every Notts fan to sign up.

“Money generated from Lifeline is invested back into the club, with our immediate focus on installing a 4G indoor surface at Meadow Lane to provide our Under 7s and 8s with an all-weather, state-of-the-art environment where they can hone their skills.”
