Matt Lawson to leave Community Officer role

24 November 2016

Matt Lawson will be leaving his role as Notts County Community Officer at the end of November.

Well known to many Notts supporters as a long-standing fan of the Magpies, Matt initially worked for the club in a casual capacity before taking on his full-time role six years ago.

A qualified dietician, Matt will now focus on developing his experience in the field by continuing his affiliation with the club in a part-time Academy Dietician role.

Matt said: “I am looking forward to the Academy Dietitian role, which Mick Halsall and all the academy staff have been brilliant in supporting, and I want to thank my colleagues at the club for all their support over the last few years.

“I will always be a lifelong fan of Notts County and it has been a privilege to develop my work at Meadow Lane.”

The club are delighted that Matt, who worked on projects such as Kick It Out, School of the Week and the club’s annual Christmas hospital visit, will be staying at Meadow Lane in this capacity and would like to thank him for all his hard work over the years.
