Christie and Kilcline in the shop

9 December 2016

Notts County legends Trevor Christie and Brian Kilcline will both be making an emotional return to Meadow Lane on Saturday.

The team-mates from Notts’ 1981 top-flight side will be signing copies of One Flew Over The Magpies Nest in the club shop ahead of the Sky Bet League Two fixture against Wycombe Wanderers.

Christie and Kilcline were both regulars in the Magpies side that won promotion to Division One in 1981 and spent three years at Meadow Lane. Christie netted 63 goals in 186 appearances, while Kilcline won England Under 21 honours while at Notts.

Kilcline went on to become the only Nottingham-born player to lift the FA Cup with Coventry City in 1987.

One Flew Over The Magpies Nest author Paul Mace said: “Trevor and Brian both made outstanding contributions to the club and also in interviews for my book.

“Both clearly hold a great deal of affection for the club and I’m sure Notts fans will relish a rare opportunity to meet up with them.”

Christie and Kilcline will be signing copies of the book in the club shop from 1.15pm to 1.45pm, and from 2.20pm to shortly before kick-off.

Fans can buy the book on the day or bring a previously purchased copy with them to obtain autographs.
