2016/17 Fixtures Released: Summary

22 June 2016

Notts County will travel to Yeovil on the first game of the 2016/17 season... Here's a summary of the fixtures.

The Magpies will visit Huish Park on the 6th August 2016, looking to exact revenge on the Glovers after defeat there late on in the 2015/16 season.

Our next game will be in the EFL Cup (To be drawn at 1pm today) on 10th August, before we entertain Stevenage at Meadow Lane on Saturday 13th August at Meadow Lane in our first home match of the season.

The first Tuesday night match of the season will follow, a home tie against Plymouth Argyle at Meadow Lane on Tuesday 16th August, before our second away game of the season at Hartlepool United on Saturday 20th August.

Our local derbies against Mansfield Town will take place on Saturday 8th October (Away) and Saturday 14th January (Home), with Notts looking to do the double on our local rivals.

We've been handed a home draw on Boxing Day, with league newcomers Doncaster Rovers coming to Notts.

There will be one or two long Tuesday night trips, with the Magpies traveling Exeter City on Tuesday 27th September and Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday 18th February.

And for those wanting to know about a potential weekend away in Blackpool, that fixture will take place at Bloomfield Park on Saturday 12th November.

The run in at the end of the season looks tough, with us playing Portsmouth at home on Easter Bank Holiday Monday (17th April), followed by a trip to Luton Town on Saturday 22nd April. The final two matches of the season see us back at home, against Blackpool on Saturday 29th April before we end the campaign away at Rodney Parade, the home of Newport County, on Saturday 6th May.
